We are very proud to announce that three of our in-house craftsmen were recognised at the 2016 Goldsmiths' Council Craft & Design Awards in London on 29 February 2016.
Jon Hunt, Technical Manager was awarded Bronze in the category of Senior Silversmith, as was Colin Golder in the Senior Polisher category for the creation of a mace for the new Sheriff Appeal Court in Edinburgh. Chay McClory, our former Master Jeweller, was bestowed a Gold award in the category of Senior Diamond Mounter for a unique floral locket ring in 18ct white and yellow gold. This acclaim is especially precious since it is the first time in several years that the gold standard has been achieved.
The awards, which follow many years of acknowledgement for our craftsmen and women by the Goldsmiths' Council, confirm Hamilton & Inches as one of Britain’s leading jewellers and silversmiths. Our workshops have been responsible for producing many important commissions and creations over the past 150 years, including the wonderful pieces that adorn our showroom today. To celebrate our anniversary we are creating a limited number of exceptional pieces, some of which are ready to be revealed.
Stay tuned for more sneak peeks into our exciting 150th plans…
