The Balmoral
Located in the heart of Edinburgh, the Balmoral is a majestic hotel that reflects the city's rich history and culture. The hotel features 168 guest rooms and suites, each offering luxurious amenities and scenic views of Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town. The Balmoral is renowned for its award-winning cuisine, with dining options ranging from casual to fine dining. The hotel's spa offers a range of treatments, including traditional Scottish therapies such as the Highland Massage and Hebridean Seaweed Wrap.
Our relationship with the Balmoral goes back to when we made the original clock which adorns the famous clocktower, an impressive piece which forms part of the iconic Edinburgh skyline. We continue to maintain the clock to this day, set deliberately fast to help commuters alighting trains in Waverley Station below.
The Fife Arms
The Fife Arms is a recently renovated hotel located in the Highlands village of Braemar. The hotel boasts a rich history that dates back to the early 19th century, when it served as a coaching inn for the royal family.
The hotel features 46 guest rooms and suites, each designed to reflect the hotel's unique history and the surrounding landscape. The hotel's communal spaces are adorned with artwork and antiques that celebrate world famous artists and sculptors. Owned by the co-founders of the acclaimed global gallery Hauser & Wirth, Iwan and Manuela Wirth have remained dedicated to modern and contemporary art. In each corridor, corner and wall there are just over 14,000 pieces of art at The Fife Arms, including a Lucian Freud and a Louise Bourgeois. In fact, complimentary art tours are offered to guests who want to learn more about this incredible collection.
The Fife Arms is also renowned for its dining options, with restaurants offering a range of Scottish cuisine, from traditional pub-grub to Michelin-starred fine dining. The whisky bar is also world-renowned and not to be missed, for those keen to sample a dram during their stay.
The shop is a delightful room of hidden gems, with woodwork and panelling taken from an ancient apothecary. Scottish artists, authors and craft makers are celebrated in their wonderful range of makers, including our own silver and crystalware. As well as stocking our in-house ranges, The Fife Arms also commissioned their own bespoke range from us in 2022, showcasing a range of silver and barware items to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
