In celebration of its 150th anniversary, Hamilton & Inches proudly presents a new range of exceptional jewellery designs – the Signature Suite and Lily II Collection.
Led by Head of Jewellery, Debbie McKernan, the Signature Suite is an evolution of Hamilton & Inches’ Signature Collection. It comprises a diamond collar, diamond earrings and a diamond cuff. The Signature Suite’s traditional honeycomb setting boasts double rows of 660 round brilliant cut diamonds, weighing 40.41cts in total and set in 18ct white gold.
The Signature Suite cuff carries the H&I signature, hand-engraved by Master Engraver Ruaridh Malcomson to mark its authenticity. The fringe design of the Signature Suite collar originates from Edwardian times when tiaras were converted to neck pieces, and the earrings are also classic in their design.
Similarly Hamilton & Inches’ Lily II Collection is a development of its original Lily Collection, which was launched to celebrate the jewellery house’s 140th anniversary in 2006.
Both Lily Collections have taken design inspiration from one of the first jewellery pieces Hamilton & Inches ever produced - an elegant lariat chain boasting a fleur-de-lis motif, created in 1893 using sapphires, diamonds and 18ct yellow gold.
The designs have been modified and are now more contemporary, elegant and delicate in their presentation. The Lily II Collection consists of a collar, two pendants, a pair of earrings, a bracelet and a ring.
The Lily II Collection, designed and developed by Debbie McKernan in collaboration with former Glasgow School of Art fine jewellery designer Vicki Smith, has been hand-crafted in sterling silver.
These unprecedented Scottish jewellery suites acknowledge the great craft and tradition of where Hamilton & Inches began, as jewellers for generations since 1866, yet their beauty and brilliance exhibit the confidence and excitement of our jewellers, goldsmiths, silversmiths, engravers and polishers - from master craftsmen to apprentices – which will see us sparkle into the future.
