Our Showroom Renovations

87 George Street, Edinburgh has been our home for 68 wonderful years. We have showcased some of the world’s most beautiful jewellery, finest timepieces and striking silverware over the years as well as hosting incredible events and wonderful guests.  However, the time has come for a renovation.  In January 2021 we will be closing the doors of our Grade A listed showroom for an extensive, design-led regeneration.  With modifications across all areas, our partners will work to carefully renovate the 19th century building, transforming our showroom, workshops and service department to create an even more memorable experience for our clients.

The showroom will close from 28 December to 26th January while the restoration work continues.
However, you can continue to shop with us throughout.  Our collections are all showcased online and our live chat below is managed by our own sales team. We offer free, next day delivery on all UK orders.

If you would like to see any collections in person or would like to hand in or collect your repair, you can make an appointment with us below.   Sales consultations can be held in person or by video conference, whichever you feel most comfortable with.

hand-crafted in edinburgh Silver Ginkgo Leaf Installation

To celebrate Hamilton & Inches long tradition of handcrafting silver as well as nurturing the talent of our team of exceptional craftsmen and women, the team have joined in the design of a stunning sterling silver installation which will be the highlight of the new showroom.  Based on the Ginkgo leaf, a symbol of hope, renewal and revival, the installation will be made up of over 45 sterling silver Ginkgo leaves, all individually designed by the team at Hamilton & Inches.  Conceived by silversmith Ruth Page, each individual leaf will be cut from sheet silver and either chased, pierced or engraved with the designs.  The leaves will freely hang from the ceiling at the front of the showroom, allowing them to gently move with the breeze each time someone opens the door to visit us.
