Tamdhu
50 Year Old Bottle

Celebrating 120 Years

In 2017, we were proud to craft an exquisitely-designed decanter for the oldest bottling of Tamdhu, coinciding with the
distillery’s 120th Anniversary. Matured in a first fill European oak sherry butt for five decades, just 100 bottles of Tamdhu 50 Year Old were made available globally which have now sold out. On display as part of Celebrating our Craft is the very first bottle produced.

Generations of Expertise

The rare Tamdhu whisky was presented in an exquisitely-designed decanter, created by a team of traditional British craftspeople including glass designer Katy Holford, crystal experts Royal Brierley, and our very own silversmiths.

The Making of Tamdhu

The Collar

A bottle of such rarity is worthy of a collar of distinction. Crafted from sterling silver, the bottle collar is engraved with intricate design depicting Tamdhu Distillery’s location on the Spey River, its Victorian train station and exclusive sherry casks.

The Cannister

Each decanter of Tamdhu 50 Year Old is presented in a solid stained oak cannister adorned with Hamilton & Inches hallmarked sterling silver. Hand-crafted by the award winning silversmith team, it is a label worthy of the finest whisky.

The Base

Every part of the Tamdhu 50 Year Old bottle was adorned, from the exceptional crystal decanter to the exquisite sterling silver hand-crafted base. Each base was engraved with the bottle's own unique number, marking a moment in history.
