Our Spring/Summer jewellery launch is the third installment of our Jewellers for Generations campaign, which is nominated for Marketing Campaign of the Year at this year’s UK Jewellery Awards (winners announced June 29th). This campaign keenly reflects the femininity which swept down the catwalks of the Spring/Summer fashion shows for 2017.
Kitten heels, tulle and ruffles dominated the shows from McQueen (whose collection even includes some Shetland lace and flora) and Mulberry, to Dior and Dries Van Noten. We are proud of our great tradition for combining classic design with modern style, as our Flora and Lily II collections attest. The Flora Collection is inspired by the courtyard garden which once bloomed here at 87 George Street, with gemstone petals and delicate leaves creating the Flora charm motif used throughout the collection. Prices for the Flora Collection start at £1,700.
The Lily II Collection, designed in-house by Debbie McKernan and developed by Vicki Smith, has been hand-crafted in sterling silver. The Lily II Collection consists of a collar, two pendants, a pair of earrings, a bracelet and a ring. An 18ct yellow gold and diamond Lily collection was launched for our 140th anniversary in 2006, inspiration for which again was taken from the first piece we ever made. This collection was bold and striking in its design, whereas Lily II is an evolution of that, modified in shape, more elegant and delicate in its presentation. Prices for the Lily II collection start at £230.
Debbie McKernan, Head of Jewellery at Hamilton & Inches, adds:
“At Hamilton & Inches, we understand what women want and how timeless design and craftsmanship can ensure that women’s jewellery collections are always complementary to the changing fashion seasons.
“This season’s fashion focus on florals and femininity is exciting for us and we’ve been thrilled to see design houses such as McQueen celebrating its Scottish roots with Sarah Burton incorporating the wild flowers and landscapes of Shetland into her SS17 catwalk collection.
“I love to see how inventive and independent women are with their jewellery, and our Flora and Lily II Collections allow women of all generations to style themselves along with the season’s trends, as well as having that enduring certainty that these distinctive and hand-crafted pieces will remain in style for a lifetime.”
