SCOTTISH GOLDThe Traditional Quaich
Quaichs or drinking cups, have been a traditional part of Scotland since the 17th century. A two handled cup, the quaich is often used at weddings, the happy couple enjoying their first drink together. The item can also be on display, with bespoke messaging hand-engraved into the silver.
OUR QUAICH COLLECTIONThe 250th Anniversary of Sir Walter Scott
2021 saw the anniversary of Sir Walter Scott's birth. A prominent novelist and historian, Scott transformed how the world regarded Scotland, and was responsible for the rediscovery of Scotland’s Crown jewels, the Scottish Regalia. A prominent neighbour, at 31 years of age Sir Walter purchased 39 North Castle Street, just minutes from our showroom at 87 George Street. He left a permanent mark on the city, honoured via the Sir Walter Scott Monument on Princess Street.
